my angle of depression.

okay. sorry about the title. but that’s what was how i was feeling. literally. im getting depressed over mathematics. i mean, im not that dumb, i believe, but math is not my favorite subject either, and i have no idea now why i took engineering. because before, i think i know why. and maybe i dont know myself now.

i feel like i have to shift to another course, but i dont want to. i love engineering already. from its stinky building that has discrimination for girls, because it has two times more male restrooms than girls. kuya Ray who was the photocopy guy in our building that we already included in our dreams for the future. the green benches, the “resort”, everything. 

i feel like its a second home already. even my friends, they’re like my family already. and i dont want to be find another friends again.

 

waaaa. this sucks.

LIFE GOES ON. thats what im trying to process in my self. that whatever happens, my life will still goes on. i choose this, i started it, and i have to finish it, even if it means climbing mountains and swimming in the ocean full of sharks. OA much? haha.

i can do this, i know this post seems melodramatic, but whatever, i just have to let it all out. i can do this, i know i can.

Don’t worry sis. It’s okay to feel depressed. That’s life. I have to agree with you, LIFE really DOES go on. :) ) HAHA. But I don’t find you OA and I don’t find your post LAME. Actually, it made me think of something.. SOMETHING which I don’t get/understand. But anyways, this post of yours inspired me. This is a blog. You should let EVERYTHING out in here. Hmm… don’t be depressed on math.. actually ang nagpapahirap lang talaga sa math ay ang ating mga sarili.

Tips lang para makasurvive ka sa math..

focus ka lang sa kung ano ang hinihingi ng problem and always USE THE GIVEN quantities.. wag kang iimbento ng iba or use the solved answers as given kasi lalong magmamali sagot mo.

always make advance reading and practice the exercises. that way mararamdaman mo na excited ka nang malaman ang karugtong sa professor mo. Pag nagsosolve ka ng problem with a little background ng topic, mawawalan ka ng gana.. pero once na nalaman mo na ang dapat gawin sa prof mo, try again.. tignan mo, magegets mo rin sya…

hit some good books!
I recommend:

Algebra - books by Rees, Sparks and Rees (the blue one entitled College Algebra)

Statistics - Walpole’s book (whitish brown one)

Trigonometry - Paul Rider uli… (for practice exercises lang)

Analytic Geometry & Solid Mensuration - any books will do…

Differential Calculus & Integral Calculus - Leithold (the big book, of TC7) and Feliciano and Uy (the white one) and some reviewers by Asin.

Differential Equations - Rainville

and the last thing is… PRACTICE!

Walang dapat ikadepress sa math girl.. Tamang practice lang yan! :D So cheer up! Kung nagawa kong magkaroon ng mataas na grade sa Math ko, ikaw pa kaya? Sabi nga ni Jolibee, KAYA MO YAN KID!!!

Aww… that’s just part of the challenge sis. If you love what you’re doing, then you must strive hard to achieve your goals right?

Engineering is quite tough especially for those who hate math (AHEM!) but then, if you love it, then your passion for what you’re doing will help you pass those trials you’re facing. ^^

it really is depressing. i mean, leaving behind something so precious… but in the end, it would always depend upon your choice. i bet you’ll make the wise one! :)

ohh im sorry to hear that youre being depressed over mathematics, trust me, i totally know how you feel.
discrimination against girls? :O thats not good.
